How you can get involved in the National Children’s Football Week event 2014, also incorporating football & peace project that will celebrate and reflect on the most famous football game that was ever played.
A hundred years ago on Christmas Eve 1914 the Allied troops played a game of football against German soldiers. This was incredible when you think that only hours before they were shooting and killing each other.
It shows how powerful football can be when uniting people and making new friends. This was the game that they had played as children, with a ball and jackets for goalposts what does this remind you of, ? The Children’s Game.
Will you support the NCFA, by taking part in a centenary game between Saturday 19th July and the 27th July these dates include the start of the summer holidays so loads of time to organise an event.
