Next Hillsborough memorial service will be the last family support group announced. Chairman for the family support group Margaret Aspinall told the Liverpool Echo: I” think we need to draw a line under it now We have had the new inquests and the families always wanted to keep it going for as long as it took get the old inquests quashed and get the new ones. We have done that and we feel it is the right time to draw a line. The group has decided to stop fundraising and don’t require any more donations. No more merchandise will be sold off as we don’t need it anymore. The families would like to thank everybody on behalf of the Hillsborough Family Support group for all they have done, and if anyone wants to to do fundraising in memory of the 96, we would just ask that it goes to a good cause any we have many good causes in our City. We will continue after the hearings but in what format we are unsure at the moment. Margaret said “We want the families to be able to to have time with their families now. “They deserve that and i’d like to thank the dedication of the families. their commitment, their loyalty and also their courage. I think now they need peace.” Margaret said they hoped to to incorporate something different into the final memorial service as a thank you to the fans and survivors of the disaster, which took place at the 1989 FA CUP semi-final.
